Asma Haidara is a paralegal at Hines Immigration Law. She is a junior at Augsburg University, majoring in Political Science, with a passion for advocacy and community arts.

As the daughter of immigrant parents, she grew up appreciating the vibrant, diverse community of Minneapolis. This upbringing inspired her to get involved in spoken word and community organizing with the Somali community, where she worked for several years as a teaching artist in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.

Asma believes everyone deserves access to competent and empathetic legal representation, and she finds meaning in legal advocacy work that supports that belief.

Outside the office, Asma enjoys reading, historical documentaries, and spending time outdoors. She also volunteers with her local community garden, which connects elders to fresh food and to community engagement.
